Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste…

Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition. He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets. Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head. She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is. Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.

So, let's see. This book was interesting. I fell into it easily, and I loved the world Noel created beside Ever. The fact that Ever had psychic powers was truly interesting. They flowed neatly through the book and I felt Ever's pain of it.

I thought the main character, Ever, was exceptional, but the supporting characters I felt weren't all that complete. Haven was the average girl in the goth phase. Miles the stereotypical gay boy, they weren't anything special. I think my favorite character was Riley, Ever's hilarious little ghost sister. Now, Damen, he is someone I just can't describe. I like him, yes, but, boy, did he get on my nerves, he was so mysterious. I was barely holding it in trying to think of what he really was and everything about him. It nerved me how Ever fell for him SO quickly when she, and I, didn't know anything about him! It was frustrating. Really.

There is so much action in the book, no, but the mystery is there completely. I was wracking my brain to figure it out. I just had no idea about Damen and Drina..... But trust me, this book was really good. I couldn't put it down. Alyson Noel created an amazing new world, and after this book I am so curious to see where it heads because honestly, I have no idea.

But I cannot wait for the sequel, in I think late Summer, early Autumn, if I remember right. Title Blue Moon. But really, go buy it now! (Or pre-order it since it comes out tomorrow!) (Also check back for Alyson Noel for an OTO post!)

  1. I loved this book-I'm glad to know other people are enjoying it as well!:)

  2. I'm so thrilled that you liked it!! I can breathe again!

    BLUE MOON comes out 08.04.09

    Have a great day!

  3. I want to read this one so bad! Great Review :D

  4. This was a good book, Kelsey. I have to agree with you on the Haven and Miles thing. I liked Miles more than Haven and wished he had more development. Damen got on my nerves because of some of his tendencies...and dishonesty (which probably isn't the right word, but the only one I can kind of think of), but I loved Riley! I was sad to see her go at the end, but I'm hoping that Ms. Noel brings her back in some way.

And Drina too. She was so bad, she was good!

  5. I fell into Damen so easily too!! But its kind of weird at the part Ever and Damen's ex-wife fighting on the canyon. Its just feel weirds how Ever doesnt have any teeth - at all !!!!!

  6. I loved is truly amazing. I was never into Sci-fi type books, but this one got me hooked. Ive been doing internet research on Blue Moon with little luck..i cant wait to get it. You can pre-order it on!

  7. I read this! I love it! I really thought it was confussing at the end, though. I had to read it twice but I eventually go it. I request you read it though.

  8. i saw the book in wal-mart and i read the synopsis on the back and i started reading it, and i couldnt put it down. i stood there for an hour and read the first 8 chapters, i could NOT stop, lol. great book so far

  9. I loved Evermore and can't wait till it comes out!! Actually, they changed the date for blue moon from August 8 to July 7 (which is tommorrow!).I don't wanna give anything away to people who haven't read it, But truley, I don't know who wouldn't love evermore!

  10. Loved it!!!!! Damen is soooo hot and that is soooo cute he always comes for her and was way more action-packed than Twilight wich btw I loooove and cant wait for the next!

  11. I love Evermore and Blue Moon.
    AWESOME books!!!
    Can't wait for Shadowland...

  12. this book was great! although i found it way too similar to twilight -__-

  13. << I agree.. I found the book waay similar to Twilght. Funny to say, I thought he was a vampire the whole time, until he said he wasn't. >_>;;

  14. I was accually pretty convinced he was a vampire until he clarified that he was an immortal to Ever.. I too thought it was similar to twilight in the sense that he's in like this misery.. but over all I enjoyed the book alot.

  15. me too, at first i thought damen was a vampire until he said he's not. pretty great book. im not finish reading the bluemoon right now.. peace.

  16. This is my favorite series. I've read all of them up to Shadowland, I'm still waiting to get Dark Flame. I'm also excited with the newest one coming out in January! Amazing books!!!

  17. The Immortals series is my favorite of all times and it will always b eno matter how many books i read! (alot)

  18. i have read these books and i thought there were amazing

  19. To be honest it was a little like twilight what same people have said not going to lie but way more interesting, No Offends twilight fan. It was well done even for a minute I thought Damen was a vampire and let a breathe of relief when he wasn't. I really love the series so far and now up to shadowlands a bit scar to start it from the part a read about it before but is going to try.

Good? Bad? Ugly? I don't care as long as you tell me!
